想当年我还怀着伟大的商业梦想的时候，也跟多少一样有理想有抱负憧憬着未来的有志青年一样如饥似渴得观摩着Donald Trump招徒记，看着这个纽约最自负的资本家怎么样以鄙夷的口气在电视机前对参赛者说出那句有名的“You are fired”。后来在WWE（是的，我看美式摔角，我最喜欢的选手是The Undertaker）里看到他也来凑热闹才发现这个人是多么敢想，拿自己的头发开玩笑，也难怪这样一个人会什么都投资，小到矿泉水伏特加大到房地产联合国大楼。不过后来仔细一想，不对啊，资本家不就是这样的吗，有利就图。
摄影师Sam Bassett比Donald Trump本人更大胆，竟然要他穿上恶魔的翅膀拍照，他自己是这么说的，
“我知道无论怎么拍他的肖像都一定会是Trump站在那里的姿势。这样拍肯定没问题但是我想玩点刺激的，所以我就把我在帝国大厦楼顶拍的鸟瞰照片投影到他身。然后我要他穿上我以前的一个化妆舞会上留下的万圣节翅膀，有恶魔、魔鬼（谁告我devil和demon分别该怎么翻译？）、天使以及仙女的翅膀。他第一个反应是对此嗤之以鼻。我跟他说如果他真是纽约之王那么他一定会把这个当作证明自己牛逼的一次机会。这时他露出不悦的表情。我接着说有一天他会跟我共进晚餐并写感谢我给他拍这些穿上翅膀的照片。他盯着我看了大约十秒然后说，那好吧，你要我先穿哪一个（翅膀）？”

I was messing with webcam and processing this evening, and found that Andy Best has created an amazingly easy and effective visualization of real-time video using processing. He was inspired by computer-generated music video Houses of Cards of Radiohead (Yes, you can watch the video and download the data at google code). I modified his code a bit and captured this,
And I tried with film poster of Coffee and Cigarettes, and generated this,
where the original poster looks like this (you may download the pdf version),
The key to this visualization is fairly simple, “I take the intensity of the pixels from the image and use them as a Z-value for the horizontal lines that I draw. Simple, but I feel that it is pretty effective, especially when the lighting is right.” I guess Jim Jarmush never realized that b&w films could be a great source for visualization.

昨天我在博客里说下个月不去德国的同时也说到我要开始写毕业论文了，是的，所以我今天开始找资料了。因为都说男人是视觉动物，而且我的导师也是搞视觉出身的，所以我的论文/设计也将基于视觉。搞视觉第一步要看的东西当然是OpenCV，看OpenCV的第一步当然是要把学会把摄像头里的图像读出来，于是我就跟着OpenCV中文站里的教程做了起来。在“从Windows下从摄像头采集图像”一栏给出了三个链接，其中有一个是这样的，
Theodore Watson编写的videoInput Library（勿需安装庞大的DirectX，功能丰富，推荐！）
于是我就点过去了。如果英语里名词可以形容词话的话，那么我打开了一个很Geek/Artist/Activist的网页，他竟然用自己的摄像头五连拍做背景。接着我又看了他的主页，发现我以前就原来访问过，而且他就是我以前介绍过的Laser Tag的程序代码作者！
然后我就想到了这个标题，这就是典型的学了知识不务正业的小青年，据我所知，MIT Media Lab里有一堆这样的小青年和老青年（是的，我申请了MIT的Media Arts and Sciences专业而且我还在等他们的录取结果！）。其实邪恶疯狂科学家这个名字也不是我想出来的，而是真有这么一个实验室叫这个名字（当然不是大学里的实验室）。不过他们其实也不邪恶不疯狂，你看他们做的东西多可爱，

They’ve got a huge screen made up of LCD pixels only for some simple easy color transformation, in fact it is a perfect display for Fujiya & Miyagi’s music video! And plus, it can be used as a visualization display for the DJ or even live band.
